Three standout athletes from Augusta University’s softball team have earned accolades in the 2025 Peach Belt Conference All-Conference Team. Senior Bailee Roberts has been recognized as a First Team selection, while junior Ansley Gibson joins her on the First Team as a utility player. Sophomore Madalyn Spinks is recognized on the Second Team, highlighting the team’s impressive performance. The team achieved a record of 29-27, the highest in over a decade, showcasing individual talents that contributed to their success.
Augusta, GA – Three athletes from Augusta University’s softball team have been recognized for their outstanding performances in the 2025 Peach Belt Conference All-Conference Team. Senior Bailee Roberts earned a coveted spot as a First Team selection at third base, while junior Ansley Gibson also joined the First Team as a utility player. Additionally, sophomore Madalyn Spinks was honored with a spot on the Second Team.
Bailee Roberts led the Jaguars with an impressive .423 batting average, amassing a total of 80 hits during the season. She hit 10 home runs and drove in 41 RBIs, contributing significantly to the team’s success. Roberts also recorded 12 doubles and maintained an outstanding .656 slugging percentage, ranking high in nearly all offensive categories for the conference. She was a consistent presence on the field, starting all 56 games and successfully completing 13 stolen bases out of 15 attempts.
Ansley Gibson, playing as a utility player, showcased her versatility with a .339 batting average, totaling 39 hits, 8 doubles, and 22 RBIs. In addition to her offensive contributions, Gibson was a key player in the pitching circle. She participated in 30 games, pitched a total of 140.1 innings, and ended the season with an 11-9 record and a 2.94 ERA. Throughout the season, she struck out 77 batters while maintaining a .273 opposing batting average.
Sophomore Madalyn Spinks also made an impact, appearing in 34 games with 17 starts in the circle. She achieved an 8-8 pitching record, with three saves and pitched a notable 137.1 innings. Spinks struck out 66 batters and held opponents to a .257 batting average, leading the team with 11 complete games during the season.
The 2025 season marked a significant achievement for the Augusta University softball team, as they finished with an overall record of 29-27, which is the program’s highest win total in over a decade. This success can be attributed to the team’s collective efforts, as they accumulated a total of 425 hits, 224 RBIs, and 24 home runs throughout the season. Their defensive performance was solid as well, achieving a fielding percentage of .962.
Recognizing individual athletes for their accomplishments not only showcases their talent but also highlights the overall growth and success of the Augusta University softball program. The Jaguars will look to build upon this achievement in the forthcoming seasons, aiming to replicate and enhance their performance in future competitions.
