Augusta University has announced the signing of transfer guard Ryan Conway and freshman forward Daniel Daramola for the 2025-26 men’s basketball season. Both players bring valuable experience and skills that are expected to enhance the team’s performance. Conway, a proven scorer from Baltimore, has played at both Division I and junior college levels, while Daramola, an impressive forward from Decatur, averaged significant points and rebounds in high school. Augusta, Georgia – Augusta University has announced the addition of transfer guard Ryan Conway and freshman forward Daniel Daramola to the men’s basketball roster for the 2025-26 season. Head coach Dip Metress expressed confidence that both players will contribute significantly to the team’s performance in the upcoming year.
Ryan Conway, a 6’1″ guard originally from Baltimore, Maryland, comes with extensive experience from both Division I basketball and junior college. Previously playing at Howard Community College and Towson University, Conway is classified as a junior and is regarded as a “proven scorer” with an “infectious personality.” His addition is expected to enhance the Jaguars’ backcourt with his shooting abilities, leadership, and versatility.
At Howard Community College, Conway averaged 11.0 points per game while demonstrating impressive shooting statistics with a field goal percentage of 42% and a three-point shooting percentage of 41%. His performance at Towson University also showcased his talent, where he averaged 6.4 points per game and maintained a 40% accuracy rate from beyond the arc. These statistics highlight his capability to make an immediate impact on the court as the Jaguars prepare for the upcoming season.
In addition to Conway, Augusta University has signed freshman forward Daniel Daramola, who stands 6’9″ and weighs 210 lbs. Coming from Decatur, Georgia, Daramola played at Greenforest Christian High School, where he established himself as a formidable player. He averaged 17.5 points and 11.2 rebounds per game during his senior year, contributing significantly to his team’s success in back-to-back state championships.
Daramola’s competitive nature and determination have been central to his development as a player, further emphasized by his journey from Lagos, Nigeria, to the United States. His accolades include First Team All-Region honors received three times and All-State honors awarded twice during his high school career. The combination of skill, experience, and leadership that both Conway and Daramola bring to Augusta University positions the Jaguars for potential success in the 2025-26 season.
This announcement comes as part of a broader recruiting effort, which includes incoming freshmen DaRon Dunbar, Daniel Daramola, and Rod Scott. With these key signings, the coaching staff aims to build a strong and competitive team while fostering a culture of resilience and excellence.
