The funding marks a significant investment in the state’s aviation infrastructure, which will address a variety of necessary projects ranging from terminal upgrades to safety improvements.   • Griffin-Spalding County Airport: $658,450
  • Newnan Coweta County Airport: $587,000
  • Dekalb-Peachtree Airport: $687,000
  • Jackson County Airport: $426,000
  • Early County Airport: $426,000
  • Athens-Ben Epps Airport: $282,000
  • Richard B. Russell Regional Airport: $282,000
  • Dalton Municipal: $282,000
  • Perry-Houston County Airport: $99,830
  • Claxton-Evans County Airport: $144,075
  • Millen Airport: $221,000
  • Moultrie Municipal Airport: $282,000
  • East Georgia Regional Airport: $157,500
  • Heart of Georgia Regional: $178,063
  • Henry Tift Myers Airport: $282,000
  • Jefferson County Airport: $69,000
  • Valdosta Regional Airport, among other facilities, will also receive substantial funding.

Prior to this announcement, last October, Senators Warnock and Ossoff had successfully secured more than $19 million for Georgia airports through the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Terminal Program. In September 2024, they achieved over $60 million in federal investments dedicated to further airport upgrades across the state. Additionally, in May 2024, they facilitated the delivery of more than $120 million in federal grant funding to enhance airport infrastructure.

The overarching goal of this financial support is to significantly enhance the operational capabilities of Georgia’s airports, which are vital to regional connectivity and economic resilience.
