Employment levels rose by 2,802, with a total of 5,189,971 employed residents in the state, although this marks a decrease of 28,589 from the previous year.

The number of unemployed individuals in Georgia dropped significantly by 2,597 to 186,417, down by 8,098 over the past twelve months. Nonetheless, initial unemployment claims increased by 522 in June, totaling 19,657 claims, although claims have decreased by 2,210 over the year.
