Richmond County has mandated that all students must register before the school year commences, with online registration already available. Columbia County’s students are required to complete online registration which includes uploading necessary documents to ensure they are prepared for the school year.

In connection with the preparations for back-to-school, both South Carolina and Florida are implementing sales tax holidays to help families save on school supplies. South Carolina’s sales tax holiday will run from August 1 to 3 and covers a variety of school-related items. Florida’s sales tax holiday will extend throughout the entire month of August, focusing on school supplies and computers.

In Augusta County, the Fishersville Community Church is scheduled to host its second annual back-to-school event on July 26, 2025. This event aims to assist 400 students this year, which is double the goal from the previous year. The Neighbor Bridge organization will provide 400 book bags for attendees. The church’s event will offer free food, haircuts, live music, and children’s activities, further supporting the local community.
