ATLANTA, Ga. — Georgia Tech will try to steady its season on Saturday, Oct. 24, when Boston College visits Bobby Dodd Stadium for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on ACC Network.

Both teams sit at 1-2 in ACC play. The Yellow Jackets are 2-4 overall, while the Eagles come to Atlanta at 3-3 after a high-scoring game against Pitt on Oct. 17.

Boston College leans on its defense. The Eagles have forced 11 turnovers in six games, eight of them interceptions, which ranks second in the conference. They are also allowing just 169.3 passing yards per game, the second-best mark in the ACC and 18th nationally, and opponents are gaining five yards per play.

Quarterback Mason McKenzie is the player to watch on the other side. He threw for a career-best 295 yards against Pitt and has run for 444 yards this season, already one of the top rushing totals for a quarterback in school history. Receiver Landon Wright had 122 yards in that game, including a 69-yard touchdown.

Tech will add a throwback look for the occasion. The Jackets plan to wear special helmets bringing back the vintage Power T logo, and fans can also buy into the new Wreck Deck premium area in the Fanning Center, where seats start at $150.

The game is one of three home dates left on the schedule, followed by Louisville on Nov. 7 and Wake Forest on Nov. 21. Single-game tickets start at $30.

The stadium itself is in line for upgrades. Georgia Tech athletics is running Full Steam Ahead, a $500 million fundraising push that would pay for renovations at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field, the Zelnak Basketball Center and O’Keefe Gymnasium, home of Tech volleyball.

For the Jackets, the matchup is a test of whether they can protect the ball and win the passing game against one of the stingiest pass defenses in the league. A win would pull Tech to 3-4 and even in conference play heading into November.
